Farhana Khera is the President and Executive Director of Muslim Advocates, an independent, non-sectarian legal advocacy organization that has had a tremendous impact on the trajectory of civil rights for Muslims and others. Previous to this she was Counsel to the US Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Property Rights. She focused substantially on the Patriot Act, racial and religious profiling, and other civil liberties issues raised by the governmentβs anti-terrorism policies after September 11, 2001.
