Dalia Mogahed is the Director of Research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding. She was previously a Senior Analyst and Executive Director at the Gallup Centre for Muslim Studies, as well as the Director of the Muslim West Facts Project. Former President Obama appointed her to serve on the Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, making her the first hijab-wearing Muslim woman to hold a White House advisory position. Mogahed has also held high positions in the US-Muslim Engagement Project and is co-author of the bookΒ Who Speaks forΒ Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think.
