Dr Saiyad Nizamuddin Ahmad is The Prophet Muhammad University Professor of Shia Islam Studies at Florida International University (FIU). He holds additional roles at the University of Exeter and at Mufid Academic Seminary, Virginia, as well as having taught in Egypt, Malaysia and the UAE. Dr Ahmad earned his MA and PhD in Islamic Studies from Princeton University. He also studied with traditonal masters completing both the Shia and Sunni canon, receiving ijazaat in numerous sciences and disciplines.
