He addresses contemporary topics in a lighthearted way, often showing up geo-political double standards and expressing a layperson’s frustrations with mainstream reporting. His videos combine animation and special effects. Ali made his name alongside others (Muhammad Hijab and Ali Dawah) through debates at Hyde Park Speaker’s corner. His calm demeanour, insights and wit have appealed to many in the global English speaking Muslim community, but especially the youth. He has over a million social media followers and over 330 million views on his YouTube channel.
